We shouldn’t plough on with mortifying news, everyday encountering the new nightmare made of death counts raising and the usual endless sequences of terror and fear. We are pretty aware: the world as we know it it’s pretty fucked up, thank you very much. People are deceasing every day, like soft feathers fluffed away by an old pillow. It’s utterly devastating and hard to process, but looking forward to inreasing the amount of sadness injected by media, trust me on this, is not the solution. Now, more than ever, we need and urge artistic solutions to face our possibilities, wi need to rock our uncertainties and keep on working on building on this poetic, undefeatable hard-on made of creative slaps. I’m here to enlist an impeccable ally: the new anthology by G.A.Cuddy editor, deliciously boasting an illustration by Charlotte Knauth. You’ll find my poem against Coronavirus as well. You don’t want to miss so many good authors altogether on such talented collective experiment.
POETRY in the TIME of CORONAVIRUS is an anthology of original submissions from the Poets of the World. Proceeds will benefit Doctors Without Borders and Partners In Health – two outstanding organizations supporting the fight against COVID-19 and countless other global health issues. Please follow @p_i_t_t_o_c on Instagram to meet many of the poets who generously committed themselves to this charitable effort with their profound creative voices. We dedicate this project to all of the healthcare professionals tasked with treating the victims of Coronavirus. As well, our community of poets extends its compassion and love to all who have been affected by this terrible pandemic. Thank you for supporting our small effort to make a positive difference during this tenuous time. Edited by G.A. Cuddy with valued assistance from Liz Kobak. Cover art by Charlotte Knauth.
